Multicultural Greek Council
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) at Appalachian State University was officially established on April 24, 2019. The purpose of the Multicultural Greek Council is to provide a council for Multicultural/Culturally-Based Greek Lettered Organizations that contribute specifically to diversity and inclusion on campus.
MGC serves as the governing body and network for Multicultural/Culturally-Based Greek Lettered Organizations to create and maintain high standards in the life of fraternities and sororities. We strive to serve all MGC organizations as a support group and governing body in their events and communities, to promote multicultural awareness, and to improve relations among all campus fraternities and sororities.
Our goal is to develop exceptional individuals through building professional and interpersonal relationships, advocating for common issues, and by creating a sense of family through friendship, active support, trust & respect. Learn more about the membership intake process if you are considering joining a MGC organization.
