Panhellenic Council Recruitment
PHC recruitment begins with an information session to go over recruitment registration, the schedule, and other commonly asked questions. Students can then register for recruitment and move to the first round of recruitment (Values), which is where you will create a 1-2 minute video introducing yourself to the chapters following these guidelines. The final step is the Membership Acceptance Binding Agreement (MRABA), a one-year binding agreement where a potential new member (PNM) ranks the chapters they visited during the preference round. For more information about the recruitment process, view our Recruitment Guidebook.

Helpful Tips for Recruitment
- Research. Learn what it’s like to be a member of a Panhellenic sorority by visiting this website by the National Panhellenic Conference.
- Utilize your Rho Gamma. Your recruitment counselor (Rho Gamma) is a current Panhellenic sorority member that has been selected to answer your questions and guide you through the recruitment process.
- Attend a recruitment event. Even if you’re slightly interested, consider attending a recruitment event. You are not obligated to join a sorority and you can withdraw from the process at any time. Even upperclassmen and transfer students can participate. If you end up finding a sorority you’re interested in and signing a MRABA, you have a good likelihood of joining. About 95% of PNMs that signed a MRABA were matched.
- What to bring to recruitment? We recommend bringing a re-fillable water bottle (we’ll provide you with one), homework (you may have long breaks), something to entertain yourself with, snacks, any prescription medicine you may need, and anything else you may need to be comfortable.
- Scheduling conflict? If you aren’t able to attend a round/night of recruitment, please communicate with your recruitment counselor so we can accommodate your schedule. You may be asked to record a video answering questions for the chapters to review.
- Recommendation letters can help, but are not required and not having one will not negatively impact your recruitment experience. Recommendations must be written by an alumna of a sorority and sent directly to the sorority (each headquarters typically has an online recommendation form). Please note, the PHC does not collect or distribute recommendation letters.
