The Fraternity and Sorority Community at Appalachian State University values scholarship and academic excellence. In order to help chapters reach their fullest potential, the Office for Fraternity and Sorority Life works with the executive councils to hold fraternities and sororities responsible for their grades. Our organizations submit grade reports on a semester basis and if either the initiated members or new member class GPA falls below the 2.7 requirement, the organization is placed on a non-compliance level in accordance with the ATLAS. This encourages the chapter to focus on their scholarship program and support their members in getting the most out of their academic experiences.
